PayPerPost expands
As PayPerPost expands their presence online they recently announced their acquisition of performancing.com. Performacing.com provides a place where blogs and advertisers meet. This appears to be a good fit for PayPerPost. The technology that Performancing will bring to track and provide analytics to bloggers will enhance the community. The professional blog site has a community of 28,000 bloggers. They offer options for the bloggers to place some code on their blog, and then if advertisers like the content and traffic then they can purchase ad space on that particular blog. It is very similar to Googles AdSense in that ads are based on the content and the advertisers are more in control. This should prove to be an interesting mix for PPP as their community is more of a push of information in where the bloggers have control of what they write about.
PayPerPost is the leader in consumer generated media allowing those who blog or own blogs the ability to hook up with advertisers to provide content ads for those companies. They have created a stir in the blogging community on their ability to successfully break the barrier between Word of Mouth advertising and opening that channel for the small to mid size blogs. This was not previously available, and earlier companies that tried this were unsuccessful. PPP has been creative in their reach to advertisers and have used the internet and creative media channels to create the buzz and excitement. Merging these two communities will no doubt prove challenging, but if any company can find the synergies, PayPerPost will be able to make this marriage work.
