How is your cookware?

For many Americans their cookware says alot about how their enjoyment of cooking. Some people will spend thousands on the top of the line cookware and those are usually the ones that prepare the extravagane meals. As for our family whatever is quick and simple will typically win out. We do have our favorite iron skillet that is used for Saturday morning breakfasts and it just keeps getting better the more we use. This one of the key elements of great cookware that it actually gets better the more the use it because of the seasoning that takes place.

Creating your home office

Since I am now working out of my home I needed to find office furniture that was both functional and cost effective. I needed storage space for filing, but also one that would fit nicely into our den without being overly spacey. I like to be able to spread out my paper work and my wife wanted something that could be closed in the event we had guests coming over. We settled on a hutch/desk combo that allows great desk and filing space with the ease of being able to close off the desk when company arrives.

Be prepared

Everyone should have Emergency KitsÂ prepared and located in your home and car. Those that travel like myself should have an emergency kit that hasÂ a flashlight,Â flares, extra tools, and some non-perishable food.Â In your home having extra medicine, water, and batteries is keyÂ in the event of a disaster to help you have some of the essentials in case youÂ are without power or shelter for several hours or days.Â

Radar detectors

I live in a city where the police must get monthly bonuses for handing out speeding tickets. I was coming home and there were 6 patrol cars along the highway awaiting unsuspecting cars. The location they were in seemed pretty easy to spot and would give you enough time to slow down if inÂ fact your were speeding. I found out though that there was an aircraft overhead catching speeders and then radioing down the to the ground. This is something that my trusty radar detector would not pick up and I am glad that this day I was staying within the limits
