Consumer media the next wave

In it’s relentless pursuit of excellence in creating a buzz PayPerPost has started a new way in which to create excitement around it’s platform. For those that are unaware of what PayPerPost does they provide advertisers and those that own blogs to create a mutually beneficial relationship. What I mean by this is that advertisers use the bloggers, otherwise know as “Posties”, to write about their product or website. There is compensation involved but does not affect the writings of the bloggers opinion most of the time.

Here is the rumor:

The next wave where PayPerPost will venture into will be video based advertising where bloggers can capture the video on their blog and write about the specific topic. PayPerPost will be teaming up with some of the media moguls like Viacom, Rubert Murdoch, and others to broaden the reach and frequency of the postie community. These advertiser sponsored videos will start out on someone’s blog and then be syndicated through cable TV. This helps the cable giants to produce fresh content while giving the bloggers and their respective sites a new audience in which to attract. These will be interactive videos that will ask the viewer to log on to the blog and provide feedback on what they just saw. Then there will be contest wrapped around the video to help create a lasting message. The tie in with video sponsored blogs will then shift to mobile media and allow bloggers or posties to blog about a local business and take the footage with their cell phone and then post to PayPerPost for approval. So stay tuned to the next frontier of consumer generated media as PayPerPost is finally recognized by the big boys in media.
