Insurance options
We were recently in the market for Home Insurance as we moved into our new home. It was interesting that they now use your credit score to determine the risk factor as well as the value of your home to determine your premium. Then if you get your Car Insurance you can get additional savings. The rates that we were quoted varied by $500 between companies which was quite surprising. We did not go with the lowest cost, but did get a good deal.
It is amazing the types of insurance that you can get these days. Our agent asked if we had any pets and if we would consider Pet Insurance as something additional to our policy and they could provide some additional discounts. I was not sure what value to put on a pet so I had to pass on that option. So if your are looking to purchase other insurances such as  Travel Insurance be sure to check with your local agent as they may be able to package those into your current policy for some additional savings.
