School is back in and the police are out enforcing the speed limits. In our area they will pull you over in a school zone if your are going 2-4 miles per hour over the posted limit. The ticket cost is $119 in a school zone. This is an area where a radar detector may not help, but they are useful in situations to alert of you possible activity in the area. Radar detectors are meant as a means to keep you in check with your speed and not enable you to break the law. There are so many different types of radar detectors and bands that are being used to detect speeders that you want to make sure that the one you choose covers the broadest spectrum.
