Managing a small or larger company you need to understand your what your costs are and be able to identify where your are getting the best return on your investment. Having raw data can be quite confusing for newer managers that may be asked to run a new division or take over a district of sale people. Since they will be given a budget it is imperative to know where to most effectively spend that money. It is important to have good budgeting software to effectively manage your team and their spending. Without effective controls and measures in place you run the risk of overspending or under utilizing valuable resources that could be used elsewhere in the organization.
