On the move

July 31st, 2009

We recently had to relocate and after we moved in had a large amount of moving boxesЧанти that we had find a use for. While you would think that it would be easy to sell off or giveaway practically brand new moving boxes but it was not. The amount that we had laying in our garage after the move was quite large and we asked around to find out what could be done other than taking down to the recycle area. We were eventually able to find a moving company that does local moves for non-profit organizations and they were thrilled to get the boxes donated to help their clients.

Finding the right diet pill

July 18th, 2009

I have had the chance to review various sites that cover and report on diet pills that are available on the market today. One of the common threads that I have seen and what makes the best ones really standout are the customer testimonials. Now by this I mean the sites that have the ability for you or anyone to comment on their success or failure with a particular product. This gives more validity to the claims they are making and can help you find the right diet pill for your and your particular situation. So don’t rely on one source but do your homework on finding the right solution for you.

Geting your order

July 18th, 2009

Many companies now use a fulfillment center to process orders, rebates, and some customer outreach. I know this because I was calling on a new hard drive that I had ordered and thought that I was dealing with the manufacturer and it turned out it was there fulfillment center. From an organizational standpoint this can make good business sense because you are not taking on additional head count, but the key is that they have to represent your brand and company. So when looking to push some services offsite make sure that the organization has the capacity and will hold true to the companies core values.

New apparel

We just got our kids horse riding lessons for their birthday. It all started when we visited a local horse farm and the kids thought it was great to be able to pet and feed the horses that they wanted to come back ride the ponies. The owners were kind enough to point in the right direction to a local farmer who teaches riding lessons. We went out and looked at the equestrian apparel and required helmets that they would need to begin their riding lessons. We found out that a normal bike helmet would not be allowed and that we needed a certified horse back riding helmet in order to begin the lessons.

finding the right resources

With all the talk in the news about health care reform one topic that has fallen silent is what will happen to Social Security and those that rely on Social Security and disability insurance. The projections are that by 2020 the entire Social Security benefits plan could be depleted. This has made it more difficult for those that qualify for disability to apply for and get accepted because of the tougher standards. While this is a good thing in order to help prevent fraud it hinders those that actually qualify and depend on these benefits to help them get by. At Allsups they have resources and people that can help apply for and obtain the SSDI with a success rate of 98%. They have been able to help over 110,000 people to date and still growing. Their website provides some great tools and resources on how to start the application process and what financial information you will need to help them assist you in the process.

Designing something for the kids

July 4th, 2009

A great addition to any yard for kids is a wooden swing play set that allows them to have fun as well as get some exercise. The wooden swing sets of today are more modular meaning that you can have several different configurations that will not only keep your kids entertained but really create a whole experience. We saw one that was in the shape of a pirate ship where they had two slides coming out of each of the ship and then monkey bars that spanned across the middle with rock walls on the sides so that you could climb aboard.

Design your bathroom

July 3rd, 2009

We were viewing some of the new homes that have been on the market for quite some time to see what they offer and to possibly pick up some good investments. One of the homes that we saw and really liked had a Tuscan feel inside with dark rich cabinets and the faux textured paint that resembled an old Italian restaurant. One of the eye catching accessories that we saw were copper sinks that were in the guest and master bathroom. The sinks were trimmed with a dark granite and copper speckled back splash. It just gave this home a bit more character and the price was quite good based on the current conditions.
