If you have purchased a computer, TV, or laptop in the past few months you may have noticed that there is more pressure to purchase a extended service plan to help protect your investment. In most cases the length of term can be limiting because the technology advances so quickly. The service plan is just like buying life insurance in that you are betting against something going wrong. I have purchased extended service plans for our newer plasma TV’s in order to maintain the picture which is something that you should look for. In some cases stores will allow you to apply part of the credit of an used service plan if you do not need to use during  term of the contract.
