Many companies now use a fulfillment center to process orders, rebates, and some customer outreach. I know this because I was calling on a new hard drive that I had ordered and thought that I was dealing with the manufacturer and it turned out it was there fulfillment center. From an organizational standpoint this can make good business sense because you are not taking on additional head count, but the key is that they have to represent your brand and company. So when looking to push some services offsite make sure that the organization has the capacity and will hold true to the companies core values.
