We saw a special on companies that recycle old motherboards, memory chip, and other internal PC parts for their gold content. All the connectors used in PCs are gold and over the years there is a lot of gold to be had. These companies have devised ways in which to melt the plastic away and then extract the gold which is then melted down and recycled. This is a great use of all the PCs and monitors that are thrown out each year as the technology is moving faster and people see the need to upgrade. With all the new updates to hardware and software older computers and PDA’s are actually worth their weight in gold.

For many of us this is not the idea way in which to get into the gold and silver market. This is why there are companies like Monex which can help you buy and store gold for investment. As an investment product, gold, is available in coin or ingot form. Ingots are generally gold ingots of pure bullion cast in a convenient size and shape. Coins have a currency value or they are actually defined as ingots.Buying gold has been recognized for centuries as one of the best ways to preserve one’s wealth and purchasing power.
