There has been a surge in steel buildings as a preferred method of companies expanding their current office space. With steel buildings companies expand more quickly and create larger spaces and warehouses for much less than a standard brick and mortar building. Because the economy is just now starting to come back companies are trying to find economical ways to expand resources without going into debt.

It would seem to make some sense, if a business wanted to invest a certain portion of their company shares into the gold markets. Gold has historically been a good investment. Since the ages for all men, they have always had a fascination for gold and buy gold for investing or collecting. It’s turned out to be a pretty good friendship, since gold has never lost its value for very long and normally increases well over time. I could understand the larger corporations trying their hand at a gold investment for now or in the future. We are seeing more and more businesses diversify their portfolio and include precious metals.

We do most of our banking online and the ease and convenience has been really great. Our Current Accounts consist of checking and savings which makes it easy to transfer money bank and forth from one account to another. Savings Accounts through our bank actually pay over 5% in interest which is higher than it has been in years. For the most I feel pretty secure when banking online and I can always go down to my local branch for depositing checks. Some banks charge for the internet banking which is odd since there is no teller involvement and the cost to incur the transaction is quite small. With all the online banking tools there is still banking careers available. The need to have a knowledgeable person at the bank to help provide assistance along with engaging customers online will be the trend in 2010 and into 2011.

If you are looking for a good investment there are still plenty of real estate deals across the country that are available. I was looking at some of the Outer Banks foreclosures that are listed at The Dean Agency and they present some great opportunities. These are properties that range located in the great vacation spot of the Outer Banks. Some of them are near or close to the beach while others are a couple of blocks off the shore line. This presents a great opportunity to own property in a shore type location where you have the option to rent out the home for additional income.
